A message from one of our owners, Ken Miles:
So this morning, I gear up and prepare to ride the Ducati Hypermotard to work since it’s such a beautiful day. [Keep in mind it has been raining for almost 40 days in the DFW metroplex]. When I came out into my garage I quickly discovered I won’t be riding today because I have a flat rear tire.
I'm bummed.
Obviously I'm not riding it today, so I’ll jump on my new Indian Scout Bobber, but this is a real dilemma.
My Ducati has a single-sided swingarm and if I don’t own a stand for that and all the special tools needed to remove the large nut, then I have no choice but to call a tow truck to take it to a dealership. Alternatively, I can order those tools that cost about $350-$450 depending on the quality I purchase.
OR
I could call MBW and schedule them to come here tomorrow. They will replace the tire for less than what it would cost me to hire a tow truck. I have to buy a new tire regardless, so it ends up being more convenient for me and less expensive!
Just thought I’d share my experience this morning!
PS... I'm not just an owner, I'm a client too! Bahahahaha...
