Meet Our Motorcycle Shop Crew

Our motorcycle shop is one of a kind, and not just because it's mobile.

The idea for a mobile motorcycle shop came about and ever since it's been go-go-go, luckily our team is built for speed. Not because we all have a shared passion for bikes, it's because our team is a family. And our actual families often join in on the fun!

What kind of motorcycle(s) do you have?

  • 2017 Ducati Hypermotard 939SP
  • 2019 Indian Scout Bobber
  • 2000 Yamaha YZ426
  • 2001 Honda XR50 Pit Bike (heavily modified)

What is your dream motorcycle?

I ride them already!  My next bikes will be:

2019 Yamaha YZ450, Indian FTR 1200S, and a KTM 450 XC-F.

Favorite place to ride?

Red River Motorcycle Trails in Bulcher, Texas or Country Road -455 out past Slidell, Texas which is well known to riders in the Dallas/Fort Worth area for tons of good twisty turns.

The motorcycle trails are well known for their ATV and Dirt bike tracks and trails. The park frequently hosts events and races, be sure to double check their Facebook Page to make sure they are open for the general public for the day you plan to ride!

How long have you been riding? How did you get into motorcycles?

Out in the country, riding bicycles and BMX was all Ken did growing up.

I rode my BMX bike everywhere; Tricks, jumps, I did all those things on a BMX. I wanted a dirt bike so bad… and never got one.

As a reward to himself for months of hard work as a young adult, he bought himself a motorcycle. Years later, he started a mobile motorcycle shop with his son. The rest is history... but if you want to read more you can head over to the blog about How Our Love For Motorcycles Began.

What is the biggest misconception about bikes/bike riders?

That we're all hooligans or in gangs…  Some of the best people I know are avid motorcycle riders!

Don't judge a book by it's cover... the same can be said about riders. Hang out at your local motorcycle shop on a sunny Saturday, you are guaranteed to meet some great people who also happen to be riders.

What tips do you have for new motorcycle riders?

Find someone that rides and learn from them. The more time you spend with other riders the faster you will learn.

In addition to practicing your riding skills with knowledgable friends, a great place to start would be a motorcycle class. The classes teach you valuable things about motorcycles that friends and family may not touch on. Think of it as motorcycle 101, the course typically only takes 2-3 days and can even get you discounts on motorcycle insurance.

How long have you been riding? How did you get into motorcycles?

Garrison got an early start into the two-wheel life. He grew up racing motocross every weekend until he was 16 and finally learned to drive a car.

(pictured below in 1st place, #34)

Even if he isn't racing anymore, Garrison continues to share his passion for bikes with his father, Ken. As a father-son team, they own Motor Bike Works, a mobile motorcycle maintenance and tire shop. But the rest of their family members share the same passion and pitch in at the shop too.

What is the biggest misconception about bikes/bike riders?

“Oh I’d kill myself on that thing…” – A motorcycle is just another motor vehicle. Don’t be stupid, ride responsibly and you will be just fine!

We'd all like for the roads to be safer. A great rule of thumb is to respect the road, regardless of if you ride motorcycles or not.

What tips do you have for new motorcycle riders?

Wear all your gear, all the time. It doesn’t matter if you’re just taking it around the block. I always prefer to keep my skin, but that’s just me.

Since skin is the largest organ on your body, literally, it's important that it stays intact. Most would agree, right?  Our team would take extra sweat in the Texas heat any day, if it gives us an extra layer of safety.
